Nana can fix it!

A few days ago, Aubrey took quite a tumble off of her Princess Car. (out the front door, to be exact!) She landed face first on the concrete and managed to bang up her face pretty good. She had a huge goose egg on her forehead which bruised almost immediately. In addition, I think her nose took a direct hit! She had quite a few cuts and scrapes on it!
You wouldnt know it by looking at this picture, but she has been quite crabby! This, on top of cutting 4 canine/eye teeth at the same time! She has been unbearable to say the least and I have just wanted to run and hide!

THEN...Nana came over!! What a saving grace! Not only was it nice to have adult conversation (even if we had to shout above the kids), but just having her here made me feel better!! There has to be something about the comfort of a grandmother holding you, because not 5 minutes after nana picked up Aubrey and hugged her, this is what happened....

Thank you, Nana! You saved the day!

Tasha is taking over!

So, you all know we have a new family member, Tasha. What you dont know is that in one week, she appears to have grown quite a bit, and has taken over the playroom!!!
Here, she is actually playing with one of HER toys, but usually, she is quite content biting the head off a barbie doll, chewing wheels off cars, and oh, attacking ponytails! Cant forget the ponytails...girls, guard your hair! Just because it is attached to your head, doesnt mean she cant play tug of war with it!
The kids have a little Dora couch, that also unfolds and can be used as a little bed. They love this couch! I guess Tasha loves it too!!

This is what happened when Lexi tried to lay on her couch.... (yes, that is Tasha, pulling Lexi by the foot!!) Aaaahhh, puppies! Gotta love them!

President Obama!

I had planned on posting some photos yesterday, on the actual Inauguration Day, but let's face it...I am a mother of three small children and very rarely, do I get to do what I want, when I want. So, here's to the day after!

January 20, 2009 was the last day of office for George Bush (can I get an AMEN!?) There is a new man in town...Barack Obama was sworn into office as the first African-American president. This day will go down in history and I am proud to be a part of it!

There was said to be over two million people there to witness history in the making! I wish we could have been there too! Though, I did make sure to keep the t.v. on, so that Mason could see what was going on.

Mason, standing in front of Obama taking the oath.
(not that great of a photo, but atleast we have it!)

I am not one for change. Change tends to scare me and honestly makes me quite nervous. But today, I can say that I am actually excited about this change! I believe that our Country needs a change and I feel that Barack Obama is just the man to oversee the job.

I believe that the best man won!

It's Potty Time!

Last night, before I put the girls in the bathtub, I put them on the potty...like I do every time, to get them used to it. Chris and Brittany were here for a visit and I was explaining to Brittany that they usually just sit there, looking at me with this look of confusion. But atleast they are getting used to the potty and someday soon, they will actually use it for something other than a seat!

Last night was different! I heard Lexi saying "pee pee", but didnt really pay much attention to it, as I usually say "pee pee" to them when I put them on the potty! Then, Brittany said "Holly, I think she went!" To my surprize, Lexi went pee pee!!! What a big girl!!! Everyone ran into the bathroom clapping and saying "What a good girl, Lexi!" She was SO proud of herself!!

I hope this continues...and I hope that Aubrey isnt far behind. It will be SO nice to get past the expensive diaper phase!

Now, everytime Lexi walks past the bathroom I hear her say "pee pee...yay!" and clap for herself! Let the potty fun begin!

Welcome, Tasha!

We have a new addition to our family! Even before we lost our beloved Dakota, we were toying with the idea of getting a dog. We knew we wanted a nice, family dog. ~One that would be great with kids and one that could grow with our family. We decided on a lab...a beautiful, black lab to be exact. We picked her up this morning and she is just amazing. Tasha (named after Tasha from the Backyardigans - Mason's favorite cartoon), is just the cutest little thing you have ever seen! Mason fell in love with her the moment he laid eyes on her. The girls...not so much. They are quite shy around her and I think it will take some time for them to get used to being chased by a little black puff ball!! But I know, in time, they will love her too!!
Welcome to the family, Tasha! We look forward to many happy, fun-filled years with you!

Day at the Zoo!

Yesterday, we met our dear friends David, April, and their 3 beautiful children at the zoo. The weather was perfect and the kids had so much fun together. Mason and Elsie go to preschool together. It was so cute to see the two of them running around, holding hands! When we left the zoo, he said "I love Elsie!" ~Notice the fire hat! He never leaves home without it!

Mason's Preschool Christmas Show

On December 16th, we had a very exciting day! Mason's very first Christmas Show for preschool. It was absolutely adorable! He was one of the Three Kings and had a solo of "Go Tell it on the Mountain." (he is the third little boy singing in the video). We were so proud!!

Family Day Out with the Multiples Group

On Sunday, November 9, 2008, we had our very first "Family Day Out" with my Multiples Group. It was a wonderful way to get all the families together and give the daddies a chance to meet! Mason was having such a great time playing with the other kids, that unfortunately, we didnt get any "snap shots" of him! What a great day it was!
